Anna Triponel, Business & Human Rights Advisor

Anna Triponel is a business and human rights advisor and founder of a boutique advisory services firm working with companies, lawyers and investors to empower them to respect human rights in their business. Her work regularly takes her to countries across the globe. After completing a sustainability management course at the University of Cambridge, Anna committed to make it her priority to raise awareness amongst business – and their advisors – about climate change, and to equip them with knowledge that would support them in breaking down silos between their environmental, climate and human rights work. The ‘Business, People and Planet’ listserv she launched in January 2020 has since attracted hundreds of subscribers and resulted in a number of projects with agricultural, apparel and energy companies seeking to operate within planetary boundaries in a rights-respecting way. Anna was previously a lawyer, qualified in the UK, USA and France, and served as legal consultant with the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, supporting Professor John Ruggie to develop the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
