Malin has been advising GBI on China since 2012, helping GBI to engage with Chinese companies, academia and civil society organisations on human rights and responsible business.
Malin is Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute’s Stockholm Office, where she leads the Institute’s thematic work on Economic Globalisation and Human Rights as well as its China Programme. She is a Member of the Advisory Boards of Mercator Institute for China Studies and the Hong Kong-based NGO China Labour Bulletin. Malin studied Chinese language, Chinese law and international human rights law in Lund, Kunming, and London, and has an MA in International Development from Melbourne University.
Malin has spent most of her life studying “the China of things” and is currently focused on China’s global footprint and social and environmental impacts around the world.
