On 19 and 20 April 2016, GBI Directors Katryn Wright and Catie Shavin attended the 2016 Asia Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in Doha, Qatar. The forum was organised by the OHCHR, and brought together representatives of governments, business, industry associations, civil society organisations, trade unions, affected individuals and other stakeholders to discuss salient issues, and to identify areas at the national level where accelerated action is needed by States and companies to prevent and address business-related human rights harm. Catie contributed to a panel discussing business perspectives on NAPs, and on the role of national human rights institutions in NAPs processes.
