A GBI workshop entitled ‘Respect in Practice – Understanding and Addressing Human Rights Impacts’ was held at the 9th annual CSR Asia Summit, in Kuala Lumpur on 8 October 2015. The workshop, moderated by GBI’s Executive Director Mark Hodge, explored the challenges and dilemmas for companies of respecting human rights in practice. Featuring inputs from Pablo Largacha, Group Director – Public Affairs & Communications for the Asia Pacific Group, The Coca-Cola Company and Sidsela Nyebak, Director Social Responsibility, Group Sustainability, Telenor, the workshop shed light on two companies’ respective approaches to managing their human rights impacts and risks in the Asian and global contexts.
