A just transition requires corporate boards to put human rights at the heart of climate strategy. Ahead of COP31, we are releasing “More Than Net-Zero: Responsible Corporate Board Activity & the Just Transition”, by Anita Ramasastry and Colleen Penny. Drawing on corporate case studies, the report examines how boards can integrate human rights due diligence, workforce planning and meaningful engagement with workers and communities into transition oversight. It highlights progress, persistent governance gaps and practical steps for boards.
